Most of us want to lose weight.

    So we set these goals.

We are going to stop eating this or that until we hit goal.

The we forget about it. Yes, the very reason why you stopped eating chocolate cookies is now back on the menu on you hit your target.

Kick starting your rise and fall like “human yo-yo.”

You cut weight to gain it back.

Meanwhile your body is trying to catch up.

Are we losing weight or gaining weight again?

    This leads to stalled progress.

Your body likes the food it can digest easily: whole fruits & veggies, honey, and legumes.

Eating plant-based will reward you every time.

So stop being a “yo-yo” build an eating system that serves all your needs while keeping the tasty foods in your diet.

  • Why do you eat fake meat?

Every year someone gets a hold of a video of a vegan making “ribs” using a corn and jackfruit.

And all the meat eaters get rage baited into rioting because they accidentally bit into a vegetable.

And the inevitable question comes up…

Why don’t they just eat regular meat? It’s like they are torturing themselves.

I did not stop eating meat because I hated the taste. In fact it was quite the opposite.

Eating the Boston Butt or the Sirloin unfortunately damaged my heart and increased the production of cancer cells in my body.

If it’s eating tasty food or living a longer healthier life?

    MORE LIFE every time.

  • Make it easy

    Today I made 3 meals:

    1. High protein pancakes

    2. Rice Paper Dumplings (Dr. Vegan)

    3. Philly ‘No’ Cheesesteaks (Thee Burger Dude)

It left me drained and exhausted while juggling a full workday with 9 meetings.

I should have recognized my load and not been so ambitious.

If you have a tough week coming up, prep or buy Plant-based meat and cut down on prep time.

Is it the healthiest? No but it will save you time and your sanity.

  • I eat carbs and lose weight

    Wait. What?

    I know.

For some of you this does not compute.

It feels like a inaccuracy to type.

    Carbs are the enemy.

You should limit, restrict, replace, remove from your diet.

Don’t you want to be healthy and lose weight they say.

    I eat pasta 4 to 5 times a week.

    I eat bread every day.

I eat chocolate chip cookies 3x a week.

I eat pizza once a week.

I lost 40+ pounds and dropped 4 pant sizes without limiting myself.

Come over to plant side it’s more fun and healthier over here.

  • Create a world where you Thrive

One of the hardest things to accept as an adult is that we are the architects.

I have complained about my career, the one I worked to earn.

The family I wanted and their constant activity can be overwhelming.

The weight I could not drop yet I controlled the shopping cart every week.

Once you realize your creative powers you can construct your life to fit you best.

Struggling to eat plant-based. Find frozen plant based meals for a week.

Struggling to exercise. Walk with your first cup of coffee in the morning.

    The world is yours.

    Build what serves you.

  • All Applause and No Takers

    When I tell people I am plant-based.

    That’s great for you!

    I love that for you!

Are you sure?! Have you tasted steak?!

    Better you than me.

Does not matter whether they are fast & fit or sore & sick?

No one wants to give up their diet.

If you are alone keep going.

It’s okay to be different especially when the the consequences are life or death.

    Literally.

  • Injuries Galore but healing

I am an older athlete. (40s)

I love hiking, running and strength training.

I was rocking and rolling until…

“Pain! You make me a, you make me a believer…believer.” (Imagine Dragons voice)

Plantar (foot) pain in both feet and hip pain (impingement).

I started strengthening my hips with Lateral Band walks and Quadruple bird dogs.

For the plantar fascitis issues I took a cortisol injection in the left foot. Ouch!!

And I do 15 minutes of calf stretches twice a day.

On a positive note I seem to be healing quickly and still losing weight.

    Being plant-based has its benefits.

    Join the club.

  • One of weirdest diets I have ever done

    Carnivore.

    Keto.

    Paleo.

    Whole 30.

Something is wrong with the plant-based diet.

    It defies diet logic.

Dietary knowledge passed down from the ages:

If I eat too much I gain weight.

And with those other diets it’s absolutely true.

But no matter what I do on this diet I still lose weight.

I imagine much if this weight loss will slow down at some point but because I have a considerable amount of weight to lose it’s not happening any time soon.

    40+ pounds down and counting.

  • Going out with the guys…plant-based

Grabbing a beer is one of my favorite things to do with friends.

I have struggled since being plant-based to meet up at the bar because bar food is scrumptious

    1. Sizzling hot wings bathed in hot sauce
    2. Philly Cheesesteaks
    3. Baloney Tony Meat lovers pizza

Last night was the first time in months I hung out at the bar.

    I had 2 wheat beers. 😁

And then ordered the House-made Black bean veggie burger. It’s was good better than the ones I make at home.

All in all I had a great time.

You can still keep your fun time with friends and eat plant-based.
