• You are hooked on the…

    EASY.

Oven takes too long -> microwave.

Frying too complex -> air fry.

Cutting potatoes too cumbersome give me pre-cooked French fries.

Trying to unearth yourself from the “convenience quick sand” will take continual effort.

The cure for convenience is Self-Love.

    You need a mantra:

“I love me more than convenience.”

Things will get tough and you will want to cut corners.

    Don’t do it.

  • Fresh fruit wash and store.

    Cook food and store.

    Pots, pans, spatulas, salad bowls.

    Food processor, blender, spice mixer.

My dishwasher runs 4 to 5 times a week.

Not complaining but a dramatic increase from the once or twice a week.

    Be prepared.

  • Baked Beans –> walnut, carrot, and mushroom ground “beef” and Vegetarian baked beans.

Smoking Tofu – Smoked two blocks of tofu with different rubs. Slice and serve on whole wheat hamburger buns.

Kids ate the loved the sandwiches and baked beans.

Vegan hotdogs were not a big hit but everything can’t be perfect.

    Big win for the us!

    • Immune system will shield you from viruses like an umbrella on a rainy day
    • Recovery time shrinks 2x to 3x faster
    • Strength on demand

    But also…

    • You will be labeled an extremist.
    • You will have to plan ahead for functions with family and friends.
    • You will watch others ‘wither away’ at their own hand. (Hard to do)
    • You will stand alone as you share your triumphs.

This journey will give you more life and you will wonder why everyone is not doing it.

    This can be lonely.

Find your tribe. Share with them. This will help you stay the course.

  • Downside of plant based.

You have to under the risks while you incorporate raw food into your diet.

I soaked black beans overnight, blended them with salsa and put them in a flour tortilla.

I had minor discomfort but my kids ended up with:

    • naseau
    • stomach cramps
    • upset bellies.

And they told me they were never eating Daddy’s black tacos again. I did not blame them.

Black beans contain a chemical called lectins. They can be toxic if they are not cooked out of the food.

Before you start serving raw food understand the risks.

  • The Blue Pill will let you continue eating steak, chicken, eggs, drinking soda, and eating fast food and pepperoni pizza. You will be like the majority of the U.S. Population.

  • Imagine the parents that raised you, fed you, and loved you but were hiding something.

    Something big.

Shielding you from their shameful acts.

Instead of protecting you they were looking out for themselves.

Shepherding you to your own funeral.

Profiting off of your unhealthy misfortune.

They have known for 50+ years about effects of meat and dairy on health.

The Disease of Affluences dominates American health.

Yet they continue to market to your children in schools. Dominate timeline advertising. And continue to push the “health” as their agenda to secure the next generation’s revenue.

  • This weekend I went backwards.

I ate ate vegetarian pizza and a cinnamon roll.

    All heavily processed.

While tasty, my body reminded me we are no longer on that path.

I had painful stomach cramps and splats on splats on splats. (TMI)

So now if I want something sweet or savory I have to make it with the ingredients my body needs.

    Lesson learned.

  • The meat industry has a practice called plumping!

They inject animal protein with salt water: Chicken, Beef, Turkey, and Fish.

The injection makes the animal protein retain the weight increase.

    Why?

    Producers sell by the pound.

Your animal protein can increase in weight by as much as 30%.

Because this is such a standard practice the salt water injection is not mentioned in the ingredients.

As much as 500mg of salt can be added at a given time.

Americans already have one of the highest sodium diets. No we are learning there is even more in the meat.

  • Milk and strong bones are as universal as breathing air.

I remember watching milk commercials as a kid in the 1900s.

61k women and 45k men participated in a milk study in 1997.

Milk leads to higher death rates and bone fractures.

Apparently it does not do the body good.
