• Messy but complete

    7:30a

Dropped the youngest kid off at summer camp.

    7:55a

Dropped the oldest kid off at his summer camp.

    8:15a

2 mile run around the neighborhood.

    8:43

Sweating into my headphones 13 minutes late for my call but…

I feel amazing and my workout is done.

3 hours left on my eating window.

It’s not always going to fit into a box but you get it done.

Don’t let obstacles stop your progress.

  • The common thread in all diets for weight loss

    WFPD.

    Vegan.

    Vegetarian.

    Mediterranean.

    Longevity.

    Clean eating.

    Pescatarian.

    Keto.

    Low fat.

    The diet does not matter.

The reason you eat is to produce energy.

    Unused energy is ALWAYS stored.

You should be “shaking, rattling and rolling” at least 6 times a week.

Exercise can be a 30 minute walk, 20 minute game of pickleball, dancing, or wrestling with your kids.

Make it fun so you will keep doing it.

Add challenges like running 10% further every week.

Stick to it and lose the weight.

  • What is good fat?

Your body is good at one thing…

    Energy production.

The amount of fat you have on your body is proportionate to the amount of fat you use.

When you provide your body too much energy, it stores it for later use.

You need to exercise daily to help your body create good fat.

    What’s good fat?

First let’s define the 3 different types:

    • White fat: Most abundant type stored in triglycerides.
    • Brown fat: Specializing in burning to provide energy and warmth
    • Beige fat: Hybrid version of brown and white fat.

Good fats will be brown or beige. You want any fat your body stores to be used and not stored.

Put your fat in the “friend zone” and start your whole food plant based diet today.

  • How the healthiest meat ends up at the grocery store

    What is the healthiest meat?

I wager you said some type of poultry.

    Chicken or turkey, right?

And that is the what they want us to believe.

And it is beautifully displayed in its pristine packaging at your local grocery.

But these factory farmed birds are hatched under the warmth of the factory light, raised in a 6×6 inch pen until they reach “broiling” weight.

Then they are electrocuted into total paralysis, hung upside down on the conveyor on a line headed to something out of a Saw movie.

The “throat slitter” slices their throats. Correction the razor sharp blade regularly cuts too deep often hitting the intestines covering the fowl in both blood and poop.

Then they marinate in a pool of their own shit and blood and water so their weight can increase 20% to 30% before they are clean and rinsed.

    Yuck!

Lets only slit the throat of broccoli for our diets.

  • Where you gain weight 1st and lose weight 1st

Before there were grocery stores you found your dinner outside.

You were on the hunt and likely being hunted yourself.

When you found an apple tree you didn’t just eat you gorged.

And mother nature in her grand design wanted to store all of that “apple-energy” where it would be the least inconvenient.

    The belly.

    Why the belly?

You don’t use your belly to climb trees for fruit or to run from bears. It’s the best place to put on extra weight without compromising your ability to stay on the move.

This is why belly fat is hard to lose.

When you lose weight mother nature will remove the fat that is going to make you the most mobile.

    • Feet > Ankles > Calfs > Thighs
    • Hands > Wrists > Forearms > Biceps & Triceps > Shoulders

You gain from the inside out and lose from the outside in.

Adjust your expectations for where you lose weight and start your whole food plant based journey.

  • Are you eating sick animals?

How do you know which animals were sick?

Every package of meat looks the exact same.

It’s bright shiny and on pristine white or yellow cardboard.

Every animal looks the same but this could not be further from the truth.

Up to 106 million tonnes of antibiotics were used to treat farm animals worldwide in 2025.

You think your purchase was the lucky one?!

The collective of what is now the common cold originated from animals.

You know those 24 to 48 hour “bugs” with messy poops. Those likely cames from eating a sick animal that was chopped, plumped, and stuck in a package next to the healthy ones.

Let’s skip meat section and check out the produce section you actually see which ones are good.

    Happy Shopping!

  • Why you have a colorful appetite?

Your brain “lights up” like the Vegas strip when you eat sugary foods.

Your brain is attracted to various colors to find sweet edible fruits.

Your brain can’t tell the difference between the colorful pack of Skittles or a bright colorful salad with yellow, orange and red pepper.

You would still be attracted to it.

Nothing smells as good as a ripe orange.

What happens when you smell raw meat?

You have to start trusting your own body.

Make your brain light up with the whole plant based foods which is not only good for you but exciting as well!

  • Dieting: Doing Donuts in a Cul De Sac

Dieting has to the most backward rituals we perform.

    We restrict…

    • Calories or
    • Carbohydrates or
    • Sugar or
    • Fats.

Knowing you will return to the way you were eating once you lose the weight.

If moderation was actually the problem you would not have needed to restrict in the first place.

This is a never-ending cycle where you will have to continually diet for the remainder of your life.

Imagine me in my bathrobe with a hand up palm flat telling you to stop the “donuts” and get back on the road.

Start your whole food plant based journey now.

Eat homemade sweets. Eat until you are full.

  • Humans are supposed to eat what again?

    Humans are carnivores? Nope.

    Humans are herbivores? Nope.

    Humans are frugivores? Nope.

Our ancestors were not desk-bound. We hunted and gathered to survive.

Our gut can can “stomach” the rainbow buffet of biodiversity available because we were moving from place to place in search of food.

We can be all of the labels above but not just one.

For optimal health, being an herbivore and frugivore will give you energy and heal you from the inside out.
